SQUAD trials

We are holding OPEN trials to select some new little superstars for our Women’s Artistic Mini Squad.

We’re looking for girls born in 2019 and 2020 who show a natural flair for gymnastics—those who are fast, flexible, strong, and fearless.

Cost £10 per child

Trials will take place on Fridays throughout the summer holidays from 4.30-5.30pm â€‹

This is an exciting opportunity to trial for our Mini Squad, the first step in our Women’s Artistic Gymnastics pathway. Hosted in our fully equipped, purpose-built gymnastics facility, the session will be led by experienced coaches who know what to look for in rising talent. Kennylands is the home of County, Regional and National Champions!

We’re seeking young gymnasts who love to move, pick up skills quickly, and show confidence and enthusiasm in the gym. No competitive experience is required—just potential, passion, and a positive attitude.

Following the trial you will receive an email with some feedback from the session. You may be asked to bring your gymnast back for another trial.

Is your child ready to shine?
Book a place in our trial and let their gymnastics journey begin.

If you think your child has what it takes to be a competitive gymnast, displays the attributes above and would like to attend a Mini Squad Trial session, please head over to our Customer Portal

MINI SQUAD TRIALS 2025

COMMITMENT

Our Women's Artistic Squad works at County, Regional and National level and we are proud to say that we have many champions here at Kennylands with a few gymnasts in the South Region Squad and a National Champion!

If selected following the trials the gymnasts will train on Sundays 9.45am-11.45am beginning in September 2025 with an additional Wednesday 3.50-5.30pm session added at a later date, when the gymnast is ready.
Our squad timetables/fees can be found under About, Fees.

Our older girls train between 14 and 20 hours a week and have an extensive training programme. This squad is a big commitment for both gymnasts and parents alike.

If selected, we treat our Mini Squad as an ongoing trial designed to help us determine the best pathway for the gymnasts involved.

Please be aware that squad places are highly selective and with such a high demand for trial places there is a less than 10% chance of any child being offered a squad place.  In view of this we suggest that you treat the trial as a “fun session” for your child to come and explore gymnastics with little mention of them being tested or assessed.  This will hopefully manage expectations and Coaches will be able to assess the children in as natural a way as possible.  The session is available for all who meet the age criteria regardless of whether they have prior gymnastics experience  and we are therefore unable to advise prior to the trial suitability for individual children.
